Door & Window Parameter Transfer Tip

ArchiCad window and door settings – oh the granularity!

As it turns out, it is possible to transfer variable values between different objects. The usual parameter transfer techniques will move “as many variables as possible” between different library parts.

Two methods:

  1. transfer settings you like to a new default window
  2. transfer settings you like from a selected window to a new default window

Composite Fit to Skin

No need to apply manual insulation objects to walls that require batt fill. Create a composite and set the fill to “fit to skin”.
