First, a look at factory production framing in Sweden. The mineral-wool insulation fits perfectly. Nice butterfly table.
Next, a blog post by an architect in New Jersey comparing Swedish Platform Framing to Western Platform Framing. The Swedish system breaks thermal bridges, keeps the vapor barrier intact (should you live in a climate that needs one), provides a wire chase inside of the vapor barrier, and lends itself to factory techniques.
The link above takes you to the end of the story, but I encourage you to read the four or five posts leading up to it as well – the New USA Wall, in good, better, and best versions, plus some interesting background on the Swedish framing method and why he believes it is destined to become the North American Standard as well.
And finally, discussion of same at GBA.com.
